Who We Are

New Yorkers United for Kids is a grassroots advocacy organization dedicated to repealing the Common Core State Standards in New York. We bring together parents, teachers, taxpayers, and concerned citizens who believe that education decisions belong in the hands of families and local communities — not distant bureaucracies.

Our work is driven by a commitment to transparency, local control, and the well-being of every child in New York State. We inform the public about the origins, content, and consequences of Common Core, and we mobilize New Yorkers to take meaningful action.

Our Mission

We work to repeal the Common Core State Standards in New York through public education, legislative advocacy, and grassroots organizing. Our efforts include:

• Publishing research and analysis on Common Core, PARCC testing, and the influence of organizations such as the Gates Foundation and the National Center on Education and the Economy.
• Promoting county-level resolutions urging the New York State Legislature to discontinue Common Core implementation.
• Supporting the opt-out movement against high-stakes standardized testing.
• Raising awareness about student data privacy and the risks posed by centralized data collection.
• Mobilizing voters through initiatives like the Stop Common Core ballot line and Project RAISE.
