Ten Percent Plus

Ten Percent Plus

Over ten percent of New York Counties have come out opposed to Common Core and the numbers are growing.

Orange County recently passed a Resolution opposing Common Core.  Karen Edwards of Orange County said, “If anyone told me 2 years ago that I would be fighting for my children’s education, I would have told them they were nuts.” (Read Karen’s story here.)

We're winning the fight!

We’re winning the fight!

The Anti Common Core parents, teachers, and taxpayers of New York continue to advance to push back on over-testing, a system that tries to standardize kids like widgets- a system they had no say in, an experiment that Bill Gates said would take ten years to see if it would work and a system riddle with unfunded mandates that leaves taxpayers as the piggy banks.

In a recent discussion Kathy Zebzda declared, “We need the support of the County because Albany needs to hear loud and clear that Common Core is developmentally inappropriate and is hurting our children.” Zebzda, a retired 33 year experienced school psychologist, states there’s a laundry list of reasons to get rid of Common Core. New York’s children need a voice and a champion. They have none. The politicians are playing political football with our kids.
